Hi guys. Quick update on some server / DNS issues.

A few days ago I swapped over to a private server and I've moved PSTP and the forums over to the new server. While the DNS has successfully propagated, the old settings may be still in your browser/PC cache. If you are receiving an error message similar to http_bad_conf then there are a few things you can do:

1. Empty your browser(s) cache. Normally in "Tools".

2. Flush your operating system cache.

On a further note, there are still some problems accessing the forums at www.forums.pstp.net. I'm working to resolve this ASAP. Until then, the following links do work:

Over and out!

Update: As I post this, the forum domains do seem to all be working now. Let me know if you encounter any issues.

Forum Update

Quick update on the forum situation. Some of you may already have recieved an email or two on the subject, but since the switch has now happened I thought it was best to bring it to attention here.

The old forum was running VBulletin, which has an extortionate price attached to it. Because of this I have moved it to PHPBB.

In the old days when we started hosting our own forum we had PHPBB2. And it was shit. The new one I'm actually really liking though.

So if you were a member of the old forum or if you are looking for a new community, hit up the brand spanking new forum.

There are rumblings below the surface... things are happening over there.

Sup guys. Just an update, which is mainly a thinly veiled and shameless plug (since Adam is too proud/lazy to do it himself).

Some of you may wonder what Adam and my good self have been up to. Me? I'm working. A lot. For Sony, of all people. Who'd have thunk it.

Adam is currently not finishing a design for me on a full time basis, but in his down time he keeps plugging away at a little comic you just might have heard of. It's called Felicity, and it's about... well, I'm not gonna start getting into it. Why not just read it for yourself. Issue two was released end of last month, so you have a little bit of catching up to do. And check out the forums over there, too, if you're looking for a new community.

That's it really, stay tuned for potential future updates. We have an RSS feed now if you want to follow it, or alternatively you can catch Adam on Bebo (which I have just about deserted) or me on my Twitter (which is swiftly becoming my new obsession). It would appear to be consuming my every waking thought whilst maintaining it's ice cold grip on my heart and soul. Though that could just be the soup I had for lunch.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is; Twitter is pretty cool. And if you don't know what it is, where the fuck have you been? Seriously?

Whoa, holy crap. About bloody time.

First of all, don't wet yourselves. This is not a comic update, this is just me getting round to doing something I've been putting off for the better part of two years. About two years ago there was a catastrophic failure on the server which royally fucked our database and deleted everything in the PSTP directory. I slapped a few band aids on and did what I could, but a few comics were lost to the ether and some wouldn't load in the archive. In addition to that, the site was recently malware listed because of some content that supposedly appeared on the index page.

Well, today I was overcome by a (hopefully) temporary insanity and decided to fix what I could. In essence, I've re-done the entire site. It's not terribly different from the v3 theme, but it's simpler, cleaner, and running on different backends.

After about 10 hours of slaving over a hot database, the comics are all working (minus about two which I couldn't recover), and the old news will follow at some point aswell. I'm still waiting to hear back about why we were malware listed, but considering that now it's an entirely different site, you can rest easy. I've removed the ads we were running aswell in case anything was piggybacking on them.

Well, take it easy guys. Who knows, maybe someday you'll drop by and there will be more than just a news post...
